Service Description
The Enrichment Lab class is a once-a-week drop-off enrichment program for children ages 6 and up at The Local Spark in downtown Cabot. Enrichment "Lab" will be held from 10 AM to 2:00 PM on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.ย โ Our mission is to provide children in our community with enriching, hands-on learning experiences that spark intellectual curiosity, nurture creativity, and support personal growth. We emphasize inquiry-based learning through art, science, social studies, and life skills, encouraging students to explore, create, and discover in meaningful, engaging ways. homeschool adventure! ๐๏ธ The Local Spark-Cabot presents... ๐ A Canvas Through Time ๐ Get ready to travel through historyโone masterpiece at a time! This year, our homeschool enrichment lab will take young artists on an exciting journey through the ages as we explore the world's greatest art movements, famous artists, and creative techniques. From prehistoric cave paintings to Renaissance masterpieces, Impressionism, Pop Art, and beyond, students will create hands-on projects inspired by each fascinating time period. Every class is packed with creativity, history, and plenty of opportunities to make art that they'll be proud to bring home! ๐จ Perfect for curious creators who love to learn through hands-on experiences. ๐ Art + History + Creativity = the perfect homeschool adventure! Cancellation Policy
Attendance/Sick Policy It is expected that students will be in attendance on the days they are registered for. Students demonstrating any symptoms of illness should be kept at home. If your child wakes up and needs any medication at home to treat symptoms of illness, please do not send them to our studio that day for the safety of our students and staff. If a student demonstrates signs of illness while at our center, the student will be separated from the group and made comfortable in a separate area. We will contact those listed as emergency contacts to arrange for the immediate pick-up of the child. Students must be fever-free for 24 hours before they are allowed to return. We will allow students who have been prescribed medication that needs to be taken during their time at our facility an opportunity to do so, and a medication log will be kept on file. There are no make-ups or refunds for days missed. Inclement Weather Policy If the enrichment lab needs to close due to inclement weather (snow, ice, etc.), we will schedule additional class days in the following week to make up for the missed time. Behavior Policy Students are expected to participate respectfully without disrupting others. Disruptive behavior will result in a teacher redirection, followed by a parent contact if it continues. Persistent disruption after a parent call will lead to separation from the group and parent pick-up. We have zero tolerance for physical aggression. Teachers will not provide ongoing behavior support, and students whose behavior jeopardizes the safety or enjoyment of others may be dismissed from the program. No refunds are given for missed classes due to early pick-up or dismissal. Prepaid tuition will be refunded only for unused future months if dismissal occurs before the semester/year ends.
